The CompuTec Implementation Roadmap
A six-phase, repeatable approach. Select a phase to see what happens at each stage and what it means for your rollout.
Discovery & Scoping
We begin by aligning the project team and providing initial system training to key users, ensuring everyone has a clear understanding of the standard solution before the project scope and blueprint are defined.

Frequently Asked Questions
How long does a typical SAP Business One and CompuTec implementation take?
Timelines vary depending on the scope and complexity of the project. Rather than providing a generic estimate, we produce a realistic project schedule following an initial analysis of your requirements. Our six-phase methodology is designed to keep the project on track and ensure each milestone is completed before moving to the next.
Who will be performing the implementation?
When CompuTec delivers your project, it is managed and delivered entirely by our own team of experienced CompuTec consultants. We do not outsource implementation work, which means direct accountability and consistent product knowledge throughout the project. If you prefer a local provider, you can also work with a partner from our partner community, trained in our solutions and backed by our team.
How do you handle data migration from an existing system?
Data migration is addressed in Phase 3 and Phase 5. We provide templates and guidance to help you extract data from your current system. Migration is carried out using dedicated SAP Business One tools and a dedicated data import application based on the CompuTec AppEngine platform, which enable us to accurately map, verify and import master data and opening balances.
What is a Conference Room Pilot?
The Conference Room Pilot (CRP) takes place in Phase 3. It is a structured session where we demonstrate the configured system using your real business scenarios, allowing us to validate the design and make any necessary adjustments before proceeding to user training.
How much involvement is required from our team?
Implementation is a collaborative process. We require a dedicated group of key users on your side to participate in workshops, review and validate designs, and carry out User Acceptance Testing. Their involvement is essential for ensuring the final system reflects how your business actually works.
What happens after go-live?
Following go-live, we provide a hypercare period of intensive support to help stabilize the system. After this, you transition to our standard support team, who will already be familiar with your specific configuration and setup.
How do you manage the risk of project delays?
We manage project risk through our structured methodology, which includes formal sign-offs at the end of each phase. By working from standard configuration rather than custom development where possible, we reduce the technical complexity that most commonly causes delays in ERP implementations.
