Advancing Web Client Customization and Generative AI

SAP named 2026 the year of the SAP Business One Web Client, and CompuTec has taken an active role in that shift. Our development team significantly expanded CompuTec WebUp's functionality this year, building on its preview launch in 2025, alongside the existing ability to run CompuTec AppEngine Apps inside the Web Client.

The AI research our team began in 2025 continued through the year. One product of that work is the CompuTec MCP Server, which lets AI agents securely interact with SAP Business One and CompuTec solution data. That goes beyond executing individual tasks: agents can combine that data with real-world context, like market trends or world events, to help build reports and plans of action grounded in your business data.

Enabling the Transition to the SAP Business One Web Client

As the enterprise landscape shifted toward browser-based operations, we launched CompuTec WebUp in preview, the first solution of its kind for the SAP Business One Web Client. Built around SAP's own direction for the platform, CompuTec WebUp enables businesses to move their operations to the web while keeping the customization and automation they rely on. It gives our customers a head start on the next generation of SAP Business One, with a modernized, accessible, and highly tailored user experience.

Our team also started work on an exciting R&D project: AI agents that understand natural language, designed to support customers with everyday business tasks in SAP Business One and CompuTec ProcessForce, and consultants with configuration and implementation work.

Driving Regional Collaboration and Industry Recognition

In both 2023 and 2024, CompuTec received the SAP Business One Regional ISV (Independent Software Vendor) of the Year award for the Middle and Eastern Europe (MEE) region, recognizing our work in manufacturing and logistics.

Beyond software development, we organized the first Polish SAP Business One Summit in Warsaw, bringing together SAP, Microsoft, and industry leaders for workshops on cloud agility, ERP financing, and digital transformation.

Customization Without Compromise

Unlocking Tailored Solutions through Web-Based Extensibility

As demand for customization grew, we launched CompuTec AppEngine, a web-based extensibility platform for SAP Business One. It started with custom apps, background jobs, and integrations with external systems, laying the foundation for much more to come.

This was followed by CompuTec Cloud, built on Microsoft Azure, offering high-availability environments that support customizations and automations beyond what traditional cloud deployments allow. Our first cloud project earned industry awards from SAP, Ingram Micro, and Computer World Magazine.

Closing the Gap Between Shop Floor and Warehouse

To provide a truly unified experience to our customers, we launched CompuTec WMS, CompuTec PDC, and CompuTec Labels. By natively integrating logistics and production data capture with SAP Business One and CompuTec ProcessForce, we removed the need for third-party integrations in these areas.

This period also marked our expansion into South America, establishing implementations across six continents.

As the business grew, we increased our support for local sports, including children's football, mountain biking, and running. It's a tradition we've kept up ever since, and our way of giving back to the local community.

CompuTec's first time sponsoring the SAP Partner Summit for Midmarket, an engagement that continues to this day.

Manufacturing Capabilities for SAP Business One

In 2010, we launched CompuTec ProcessForce to address manufacturing gaps in standard SAP Business One. This sparked a period of intense innovation and the establishment of our global partner community.

This period also brought recognition from SAP, including the SAP Global SSP Award for Industry Solution Excellence and the Leadership in Innovation Award, reflecting our early focus on industry solutions for SAP Business One.

From SAP Customer to SAP Gold Partner

Forging a Long-Term Collaboration

As the business grew, we set out to find a system that could support that growth, and in 2003 chose SAP Business One, a brand new product at the time. We implemented it ourselves and went live on January 1, 2004, becoming one of the first companies in the world to use SAP Business One.

Our successful self-implementation caught SAP's attention, and they invited us to join them as an official SAP Business One partner. Confident in the platform, we saw partnership as the natural next step for the business, and signed our partnership agreement in 2006.

Our first customer as an SAP Business One partner was a manufacturer who remains our customer to this day, marking our first step into the world of manufacturing and setting the stage for everything that came next, from our manufacturing solutions to our future as an SAP Gold Partner.

The Beginning

CompuTec was founded in 1999 in Swiebodzin in Western Poland.

Founder Lukasz Chomin started the company at a time when private enterprise was flourishing across the country. Set on bringing reliable IT solutions to local businesses and private individuals, the company got its start providing hardware, software, and IT services.

It was an ambitious beginning for a young entrepreneur, one that laid the foundation for the company CompuTec would grow into.
