Full batch traceability for 8.8 million ducks a year, across three countries
Euralis is a French agricultural cooperative. Its Rougié brand produces foie gras and delicatessen products, employs 2,750 people, and generates €493 million in revenue, with production spanning three countries: France, Canada, and China. Foie gras production follows very specific protocols and is subject to stringent regulations, and with operations spread across three countries, keeping track of 8.8 million ducks a year was never going to be a simple task.
The catalyst for change
Running foie gras and delicatessen production across three countries meant Euralis was looking for a system that could handle a specific, wide-ranging set of requirements, all at once:

The solution
Euralis implemented SAP Business One with CompuTec ProcessForce across all three of its locations, working with implementation partner Viseo. CompuTec WMS was added on top in the Canadian subsidiary.
- SAP Business One is the ERP platform behind Euralis's operations in France, Canada, and China.
- CompuTec ProcessForce extends SAP Business One with manufacturing and production management functionality, covering recipe and Bill of Materials management, production monitoring, and full batch traceability across all three countries.
- CompuTec WMS gives Euralis a way to manage warehouse operations in its Canadian subsidiary, fully integrated with CompuTec ProcessForce.
CompuTec ProcessForce has enhanced the capabilities of SAP Business One so that we can correctly define our production processes, particularly in regard to Bill of Materials and the processes themselves. With the support of ProcessForce, we can now monitor our production effectively. This is especially valuable to us in terms of industrial performance and quality control, where the full batch traceability features come into play.
Foie gras production comes with unusually specific, specialized requirements, driven by both regulators and customers. For its Canadian subsidiary, Euralis needed CompuTec WMS customized to match warehouse processes already in place there, rather than having to change the way that subsidiary worked. CompuTec built that customization directly into the Canadian deployment.
The results
With correctly defined recipes and processes in SAP Business One and CompuTec ProcessForce, Euralis can monitor production effectively across all three countries, with improved industrial performance and quality control outcomes. In the Canadian subsidiary, CompuTec WMS is fully integrated with CompuTec ProcessForce, connecting warehouse operations directly to the manufacturing process.
