HPW Fresh & Dry is a major player in Ghana's food processing sector, producing dried mango, pineapple, and coconut without added sugar at its facility in Adeiso, sourcing fresh fruit from more than 1,600 smallholder farmers across Ghana. The company is part of HPW AG, one of Africa's largest dried fruit producers, headquartered in Buchs, Switzerland, with additional operations in Ivory Coast and Kenya. HPW Fresh & Dry employs 1,500 people at its Ghana facility.

The catalyst for change

Running a food processing operation of HPW Fresh & Dry's scale, drawing on an extensive value chain of smallholder farmers and processing several tropical fruits into dried products, calls for accurate, traceable production data at every stage. HPW Fresh & Dry needed a system that could support its Bill of Materials, Manufacturing Orders, and batch traceability requirements as the business grew.
