Palital Feed Additives is a Dutch manufacturer of coated feed additives for poultry, pigs, and cattle. Its coated butyrate products support animal health as a replacer for antibiotics in animal feed, and its Victurea coated urea offers a more sustainable alternative to soya as a feed ingredient, since it can be transported in far smaller volumes.
The catalyst for change
In 2018, Palital Feed Additives became independent from its former German parent company. That meant taking on its own administration, production processing, and financials for the first time, rather than relying on systems shared with its former parent. Palital needed a single ERP system it could run and manage on its own, with clear, real-time visibility into daily operations and full traceability of its raw materials and end products.
The solution

Quality Control locks and blocks batches until Palital's quality department and laboratory release them for the market.
- CompuTec PDC gives operators a simple way to register the raw materials and end products they process on the shop floor, live on a touch screen, so their movements and activity can be easily followed throughout the day.
- CompuTec Labels prints a label for every batch, so it's clear to everyone which product is in front of them.
At first we thought SAP Business One with CompuTec ProcessForce would be enough for the whole business. But that would mean our operators registering every use of raw materials and end products by hand. CompuTec PDC solved that for us.
Logres delivered the project at a fast pace: work began in July 2018, with a go-live on January 1, 2019. That speed mattered to Palital, letting it start running on its new system as soon as possible, with much less disruption to daily operations.
