We are very pleased to announce that the highly anticipated Release Candidate of CompuTec WMS for Android devices is now available to CompuTec partners and customers for testing. With the full release, CompuTec customers will be able to use CompuTec WMS on almost any Android device running Android 6 (API 23) or newer.

We’ve given the interface a bit of a facelift, but other than that, everything works exactly the same as usual, so there is no need to provide any additional training to current users. You get the same CompuTec WMS you know, but with a new and improved interface that you can use on a much wider range of devices.

Most CompuTec WMS functionalities are already present and accounted for in the new Android version. This includes support for barcode scanning on devices with a camera and the use of industrial weight scales. There are a few functionalities that we will be adding a little later in subsequent versions, such as document signatures and the ability to trigger label printing for those using CompuTec Labels, but the bulk of CompuTec WMS transactions have already been implemented.

Installation takes just a minute or so. You can find the installation instructions in the CompuTec WMS documentation.

You’ll have to wait just a little bit longer for the full release, and in the meantime, you can check out our sneak peek video below.

Please note that we are still supporting the Windows CE version, and CompuTec WMS for SAP Business One 9.3 will be supported until the end of 2022.
