CompuTec WMS 3.2608.1 is out now, and it’s a release focused on giving warehouse teams more control and a smoother day-to-day experience, alongside faster performance.

Custom Row Colors

CompuTec WMS now allows you to flag rush orders, highlight a particular customer, or mark lines that need a second look, based on whatever logic matters to your warehouse using Row coloring. Using SQL conditions, you can decide, with your own query, which color set a document line gets. It’s configured through WMS Custom Configuration, and full setup steps are in the documentation linked below.

In the following screenshots, lines are color-coded according to whether the Items have been fully picked (green), partially picked (yellow) or if there is a shortage (red).

 

Serial Numbers on Release

Serial numbers can now be assigned on release in Delivery from Pick List, for items already allocated during Pick and Pack.

Inventory Register API Validation

The Inventory Register API now validates incoming data, checking the target document, item, batch or serial number, warehouse, and bin, and it fills in the remaining fields automatically when only one value is supplied.

Other Improvements

Beyond these three, this release also simplifies navigation on the Goods Receipt and Goods Receipt PO screens, adds a combined accept-and-save step to Goods Receipt, and skips asking for a bin location on Stock Transfer when the destination doesn’t need one. The handheld client is noticeably faster and more responsive, with clearer highlighting of the selected element, and Storage Unit Details in CompuTec AppEngine now show the create date directly on the record.
