Following a highly successful preview period that commenced in October 2025, we are thrilled to announce that CompuTec WebUp is now officially Generally Available!
Since the preview launch, we’ve seen incredible creativity from our partners and customers as they’ve used CompuTec WebUp to transform the SAP Business One Web Client experience. Today, we move from “test drive” to “full throttle,” offering a native SAPUI5-based app designed to make the SAP Business One Web Client more intuitive and productive than ever before.
What’s New in the Full Release?
While the core of CompuTec WebUp remains focused on making customization and automation accessible to everyone, we haven’t been idle during the preview phase. Based on user feedback and our development roadmap, we have introduced several enhancements to the GA version, which will be unveiled during our upcoming webinar on 21st April 2026.
Why Use CompuTec WebUp?
CompuTec WebUp is an easy-to-use, web-based toolkit that allows consultants and end-users to personalize the SAP Business One Web Client interface without complex coding.
- Streamlined Interface: Drag and drop UDFs, rename fields, decide what appears on your interface and what doesn’t and more.
- Data Integrity: Implement custom validations and business logic to ensure data is accurate before it hits your database.
- Powerful Automation: Use JavaScript-based triggers to automate repetitive tasks, such as creating documents via the Service Layer.
- Browser Flexibility: While customizations are built in Chrome or Edge, the final extension runs on any browser supported by the SAP Business One Web Client.
Note: CompuTec AppEngine 3.0 remains a prerequisite for CompuTec WebUp and is available free of charge.
Licensing and Transitioning from the Preview
If you have been using the free preview version of CompuTec WebUp, you can continue to use your existing customizations. However, to gain access to the latest features, security updates, and full support included in the General Availability release, a license is now required.
- For Partners: You can purchase licenses for your customers through the usual CompuTec sales channels you already use for our other solutions.
- For Customers: Please reach out to your SAP Business One Partner to arrange licensing.
